Portland Studios have a wealth of experience photographing families, children, couples and individuals and delivering quality family portraits in Kent.

With a studio based in Sandgate you have the option of having your portrait taken in-studio, or by prior arrangement at the beach directly opposite the studio, which can provide a stunning backdrop to any portrait.

We take a natural approach to our portrait photography and try to ensure that you are relaxed and at ease, which results in natural and contemporary looking portraits.

Of course the taking of your family photo is just one stage of the service we offer. In addition to traditional photographic prints we have a variety of portrait products from which to choose; from traditional aperture frames to multi-picture acrylic mounts and large format canvases, we have a variety of portrait mounts to suit a variety of tastes. All of our products are showcased in-studio and can be purchased at the time of viewing or on their own as a unique gift for a loved one.

Here's what you can expect from us (Our Process)

1. You book an appointment with the studio. We will take a small, fully-refundable upon viewing, deposit to secure studio time.
2. On the day of the shoot, you will come along at the agreed time and we will discuss with you your reasons for wishing to have a portrait done and what style and outcome you are going for.
3. We will arrange for you to return a few days later for the viewing of your images, where we will show you the results of your shoot and using our state-of-the-art viewing system will be able to preview your images to you in a variety of styles. At this time we will also offer you the opportunity to view the wide range of products that we have to present your portraits and offer the option to purchase different products and at this time we will take payment or arrange an easy payment agreement with you.
4. We will agree with you a collection/delivery date to take receipt of your portraits.
